About Us
Black Carbon Ltd is an empirically grounded technology development & product troubleshooting company based in Cambridge offering a valuable service supporting teams working throughout a broad range of commercial and scientific industries.

With over 25 years experience working with companies from around the world. Black Carbon Ltd provides services relating to engineering design, scientific research and manufacturing or production technologies and processes. We can help, providing engineering solutions for problems covering a wide range of industries, from plastic consumer based products to scientific instrumentation and we can support you at any stage in the design, manufacturing or production cycle.
Whilst we offer a broad range off services you may only require some extra resource to cover a period of time. We are happy to support you at any level and offer services accordingly, so whether you need a couple of hours to discuss a problem or someone to manage a project we provide a flexible open minded service tailored to meet your needs.
Design ethic:
We are practical empirical engineers, not reliant on using maths or CAD alone to design or solve problems. During any work undertaken we assess a design at component level, modelling risk areas where necessary using the most appropriate methods in order to accurately review critical interactions. The output from this work is then fed back in to the design process in order to minimise the overall risk at production. Reliability: When using our services we promise to work to the highest professional standards, to maintain confidentiality and to act honourably at all times. When we take on a project we are committed to it's successful conclusion. Small company's: Please contact us. Black Carbon is by choice a small company, we do not have a large number of employees; but we are able call upon input from a number of specially selected associates at various engineering and commercial levels.
